"Washington's Strongest School" potluck/Orientation

Me and Kalani in front of Maximum Sports Conditioning.

Now you see why I still have to lift weights everyday, and hit the heavy bag.

Owner Daniel Jahn is on the right, of Maximum Sports Conditioning.

The local group, "Daisychain" was there playing some Blues and Soul.

Some of the volunteers at the potluck listening to the music played by "Daisychain".

Just got back from Bellevue, WA.  We had a little potluck and brief orientation for the volunteers that will help with the 1st "Washington's Strongest School" contest on May 22nd.
Bulky Boy was awesome enough to let me donate 8 t-shirts to the winning team.  I dropped them off tonight, and some of the kids that were there was DROOLING when they saw the cool shirts that I brought!
Looking forward to MCing this inaugural contest!

Trapper's Sushi 1 year anniversary party

Me and Frank.  Frank is one of Trapper's brothers and makes awesome sushi!

Last night, I stopped by Trapper's Sushi in Covington, WA.  These guys have been making some awesome sushi for me & my family, and help keep me BULKY with the huge slabs of fish they put on my plates.

These guys have a huge following, and people from all over will drive a good distance to get some of the best sushi buffet in Western Washington.
They are about to open another location in the Puyallup area, and I'm sure it will be just as good as the Bonney Lake and Covington restaurants!

Happy Anniversary Trapper's Sushi!  Keep up what you are doing guys!
For more info, check out their website:  http://www.trapperssushi.com/

Aloha!

#1 Washington vs #5 UCLA softball game

The #1 University of Washington Huskies, opened their Pac-10 season with a night game vs UCLA Bruins.
This was a historic night for the defending National Champions because it was the first night game at Husky Softball Stadium.
The UCLA Bruins are ranked #5 in the nation, and they actually beat the Huskies in a nailbiter of a game with a score of 1-0.
The Bruins handed the 2009 National Player of the Year, Danielle Lawrie, her first loss of the season.  She was 18-0 coming into tonight's game.

We got tickets from our friend/Assistant Coach for UCLA, Gina Vecchione
Gina used to be my wife's coach in college at Oregon State, but is a UCLA alumni and is in her 11th year coaching with the Bruins.
Vecchione earned softball's top honor in 1997 when she became the first UCLA player inducted into the Amateur Softball Association's Hall of Fame.

It was great to see her!  Enjoy the pictures!

Despite her first loss of the season, Danielle Lawrie was kind enough to take this picture with Kaiea after the game.  How cool is that?
