I saw T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Oregon State, Oakland Raiders WR) at the softball tourney.

Met some "uncles"... Byron Souza & Mr. Kaneshiro.  Byron's daughter is the starting Freshman shortstop for the University of Washington Huskies. Kimberlee Souza (Iolani High School)

Flying back to Seattle tomorrow but it was awesome to get some sunshine in CA for a few days.  It was 91 degrees today in Cathedral City!

#1 Washington vs #5 UCLA softball game

The #1 University of Washington Huskies, opened their Pac-10 season with a night game vs UCLA Bruins.

This was a historic night for the defending National Champions because it was the first night game at Husky Softball Stadium.

The UCLA Bruins are ranked #5 in the nation, and they actually beat the Huskies in a nailbiter of a game with a score of 1-0.

The Bruins handed the 2009 National Player of the Year, Danielle Lawrie, her first loss of the season.  She was 18-0 coming into tonight's game.

We got tickets from our friend/Assistant Coach for UCLA, Gina Vecchione. 

Gina used to be my wife's coach in college at Oregon State, but is a UCLA alumni and is in her 11th year coaching with the Bruins. 

Vecchione earned softball's top honor in 1997 when she became the first UCLA player inducted into the Amateur Softball Association's Hall of Fame.

It was great to see her!  Enjoy the pictures!

Seattle Seahawks home finale

It was the Seahawks last game of the '09 NFL regular season, and my friend Brian invited me to go to the game with him.

The Seahawks lost 17-14 to the Tennesse Titans, but I am saving my ticket stub. Titan's running back Chris Johnson, became only the 6th man in NFL history to run for over 2,000 yards in a season. For only his 2nd season in the NFL, thats pretty awesome!

Too bad it was at the Hawks expense!
