HIGA and my "Imperial CrossFit" friends was in da house!

Reebok was in full force for all 3 days of Regionals.

HIGA MONSTER & Laurie Bowler (co-owner of Rainier CrossFit).  Laurie and her husband Kurtis Bowler were the hosts of this prestigious Regional Championships.

Men's "Snatch Ladder" event.  Starting weight was 155 lbs and they made 10 lbs jumps until you missed an attempt.  You had 50 secs to complete the lift.

Ran into Annie Malone & Sean (Yelm, WA).  They were volunteering in the Training room.

This was my first time going to the Northwest Regionals!  It was truly mind boggling to see how hard the CrossFit athletes push themselves in all 3 days of competition.

Since I have been training at Imperial CrossFit, it has truly been humbling to see how much of a family they are in supporting each other in their workouts, and in major contests like this.

Hats off to Kurtis & Laurie Bowler and Rainer CrossFit for an awesome job in hosting this contest!

Da "uso" in the middle introduced himself to us from the "Sovereign Fight Team" (Spokane, WA) and he actually went to college with Bristol at Washington State University!

The HIGA MONSTER is proud to present the "5th Washington's Strongest Apple" contest.

We will again be part of the opening day of the Marina Farmer's Market and the new location of the north entrance of the marina.  There will be an unobstructed view of the beautiful Puget Sound and the Marina Farmers Market will be right next to our contest location.

The top 3 competitors in each weight class will qualify for the "Amateur National Championships" to be held this November in Tunica, MS.

So far, I have 26 competitors which include 3 from Australia!  Its truly an honor to have some international competitors fly all the way to Seattle to participate in my contest.

Guest judges include ASC Lightweight pro strongman, Zack McCarley and ASC Heavyweight pro strongman, Andrew Palmer.

Bring your family and friends!  Admission is FREE.  If you have never been to a live Strongman contest, now is your chance to see it locally here in the Seattle area.

Pro strongman Kevin Nee stopped by for a workout at "Imperial CrossFit" last night.

An honor to have Kevin stop by the gym last night.  He did some Axle clean & presses and I jumped in and did some Front Squats with him too.  A few of the members took pictures with him too and was happy to meet him.

Today is the 1 year anniversary that he passed away in Honolulu, HI.

One of the greatest joys in my life was to always see him smile whenever we saw each other.  I always miss you Grandpa and hope to be half the great man that you were.

A great workout today with Ben,  He is getting ready to compete in the "Northwest Iron Wars powerlifting contest" on May 12th, and I will be competing in the "Sequim Strongman Showdown" on May 11th.
