Easter Sunday workout with HIGA MONSTER at "Imperial Fitness"
My wife made some KILLER Crêpes this morning for Easter brunch! Nutella, sliced bananas and sliced fresh strawberries.
I'm not going to have time to lift weights tomorrow, so I tried to make up for it this afternoon. Poor results on my 700 lbs attempts but I think my back is still tired from Friday & Saturday's event training workouts.

HIGA MONSTER's weekend with Ben Seath.
Animal Pak sponsored powerlifter Ben Seath stayed with me this past weekend.
I hooked him up with a "USA Flag" shirt from Bulky Boy.
I had a great time with Ben this past weekend. We had two great workout sessions, and he is looking forward to competing in his first Strongman contest because he will be in my "Washington's Strongest Apple 4".
Ben is one of the top ranked Powerlifters in the USA, and he lifts Raw (no suits/belt & knee wraps only). His last contest, he squatted 800 lbs, bench pressed 480 lbs and deadlifted 670 lbs.
And he just turned 21 years old!

"Pulling our weight" for the hungry & less fortunate at "Trapper's Sushi" (Covington, WA)

A big "thank you" to all of our friends & family that came out to "Trapper's Sushi" tonight to donate massive quantities of food for their Food Drive!
Even though it was storming before Zack and I started deadlifting, they all stood in the parking lot to help cheer us on. We appreciate all da aloha and hope that we made a difference in our community.
I gave some Bulky Boy beanies to the competitors of the "Last man standing Burpee" challenge, and the winner scored a 44 count Animal Pak can of vitamins!

HIGA & Ryan Riess vs "The BURN MACHINE"
I bought this at the "Arnold Sports Festival" last March, and I FINALLY got it delivered today. Wow, what a frickin burn this was and this piece of equipment truly lives up to its name. I text messaged Ryan when I got it and told him I would bring it to the gym tonight to try it out with him.
This is only the 8 lb speed bag too, because they make a 12 lb speed bag and I can't imagine how that must feel on your shoulders.

HIGA MONSTER 125 lb fat handle dumbbell Snatch
I saw the owner of "Imperial Fitness" after this workout, and he said that I was the first guy to do a Snatch with that dumbbell. He was mad because he wanted to be the first! LOL

Seahawks 12k run (Renton, WA)
Me and Betsy. She finished in 1 hour 4 minutes! First time doing a 12k run.
There were 3,000 participants in today's run!
A huge congratulations to my friend/client Betsy Lawless! She ran this 12k run and met her goal of doing it in 1 hour 4 minutes! You go girl!

HIGAMONSTER & Zack's workout today at "Imperial Fitness"
Felt great to workout today after all the drama of getting my car broken into yesterday. I took my car to a collision center, then picked up a rental car and headed to "Imperial Fitness" to release some anger onto the weights.

HIGA MONSTER will be guest lifting at the "NPC Vancouver USA Natural Bodybuilding Championships" tomorrow! (Vancouver, WA)
Grant Higa will be guest lifting during the intermission of the Finals!
The HIGA MONSTER will be making an appearance for the first time at this bodybuilding contest. This is the 2nd biggest Bodybuilding contest in the state of Washington.
At 11:30am, I will be shouldering an Atlas Stone and signing autographs at the Animal Pak/Universal Nutrition booth. Then during the intermission of the Finals at around 8:30pm, I am going to attempt to "Deadlift 500 lbs" for 20 reps or more!
It should be pretty epic! Come check it out if you are in the SW Washington area or Portland, Oregon and stop by!
