2 more days in Puerto Penasco (where has the week gone by?)

The view of our resort from the water yesterday.  The sea is warm like bathwater.

Just got through running stairs in our building.  169 steps up one way, and I did it 4 times.  Slammed down some Amino Acids and now I'm ready to jump in the pool and ocean now!

Last night, I checked out the seafood buffet.  It was probably a good idea that the rest of the family didn't go down with me because they had Stingray tacos, Ceviche, and also "Salpicon de manterraya" or Manta Ray.

I had to try it, and the locals said they can only eat Manta Ray in the summer.  It was actually pretty darn good, that I went back for seconds!

Stepped on a crab the other day in the beach as Kaiea and I were walking back in and I had to "kung-fu kick" him off my left foot.  That son of a gun really pinched me under my toe pretty good!

Still on vacation!  Hope all is well, cause the water is warm here in the Sea of Cortes!  Check out the new "Fight shorts" that I'm wearing...you can wear them in the water too cause they feel like boardshorts too!

HIGA MONSTER pays a visit to Bulky Boy headquarters (6/19/10)

Paid a visit to World Gym of San Diego to see my friend IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, Derik "The Freak" Farnsworth.  Derik is also an Animal Pak sponsored athlete.

Sweetness!  I got my first MLB foul ball when Julio Lugo from the Baltimore Orioles hit one towards our section.  Kit set the screen for me and almost hurt his knee when another guy was leaning on him, then it bounced by me under the seats!  Look at Dom in the back with the brown Bulky Boy Padres hat on...he had just left before I got that ball and couldn't believe I got it when he returned!

Getting some refreshments in b/w innings.  Kit got us some AWESOME seats to the game.  Padres won 2-1 over the Baltimore Orioles in a thrilling bottom of the 9th with 2 outs rally.

As my family and I were on the way to a Mexico vacation, we stopped in San Diego for one night and hung out with the Bulky Boy crew.  Mahalos  to Kit for hooking us up with some sweet tickets to the Padres game!  We will have to get you guys up to Seattle for a game up there.

3rd Washington's Strongest Apple is only 3 days away!

My training partners, "THE HIGA MONSTERS" after a hard workout this past weekend at the Warehouse, wll be ready for next Saturday June 12th!

We are only 3 days away from my contest that I am promoting!  If you are around the Seattle area next Saturday, stop by to check out some amateur Strongman/strongwoman competitors battle it out for a spot at the National Amateur Strongman Championships in November.

I have 46 competitors who hail from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Canada.

Des Moines, WA 98198  Admission is FREE!

EVENTS:

1. Yoke Walk (as heavy as 745 lbs, for 100 ft) 60 seconds time limit

2. Tire flip (as heavy as 874 lbs, for 100 ft) 60 seconds time limit
3. Apollon Axle press for reps (as heavy as 263 lbs, clean once) 60 seconds time limit
4. Farmers Walk for 200 ft. (turn at 100 ft) 60 seconds time limit
5. Keg Loading (4 kegs will be 15’ away from a 50” tall platform) 60 seconds time limit

Fellow pro/friend Corey St Clair will be flying in from Idaho, and he will be doing some lifting demonstrations with my heavyweight competitors.
